Nationals to honor killed Navy SEALs with caps
The Washington Nationals will wear a cap emblazoned with the Navy SEALs logo Tuesday night to honor the 22 SEALs killed in Afghanistan on Aug. 6, according to the Washington Post.
The game against the Cincinnati Reds is the Nationals' first game back in D.C. since the attack.
It's not the first time the team has embellished their caps to honor victims of tragedies. The Nationals wore the Virginia Tech logo on their caps following the April, 2007 campus massacre.
Meanwhile, New Era revealed the American flag caps that all major league players will be wearing on Sept. 11 - the 10-month anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks.
