Natalie Portman, co-stars attend "Thor: The Dark World" premiere in London
Thor's hammer landed in London's Leicester Square on Tuesday for the world premiere of the second installment in the thunder god franchise.
"The Avengers" stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston have reunited for "Thor: The Dark World," playing two divine brothers, Loki and Thor, banding together this time around instead of butting heads.
Idris Elba also returns as Heimdall, the all-seeing guardian of Asgard.
Natalie Portman is also back as love interest Jane Foster. The Oscar-winning actress says she knows why moviegoers are so drawn to the Marvel characters.
"I think the films have been really really made with a sense of fun and humor and audiences have really responded to that and I also think Chris and Tom and all the cast have been so specific with their characters and I think that people have really responded to them," Portman said.

"Thor: The Dark World" opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 8.
