Naked man sips champagne, eats meal, takes shower, before Calif. cops arrest him for burglary
(CBS/AP) JOSHUA TREE, Calif. - First, Michael Calvert sipped champagne and ate a meal in a home in Joshua Tree, in Southern California's Mojave desert. Then, he took a shower.
Soon after that, police say they arrested a naked Calvert at gunpoint - because, they say, Calvert was a burglar, who didn't belong in the house to begin with.
San Bernardino County sheriff's Sgt. Steve Wilson says the 25-year-old Calvert was arrested by deputies while he lathered up Thursday night.
The residents of the property about 130 miles east of Los Angeles had called 911 after returning home, and hearing someone in the shower.
Calvert was booked for investigation of residential burglary. He's in jail with a bail of $25,000, and, presumably, no champagne.
