"Nacho" Figueras promotes polo on, off the field

(CBS News) He's not just a pretty face.

Ignacio "Nacho" Figueras been the face of Ralph Lauren's preppy and athletic Polo line for years. But what you may not know is that he's not just playing a polo player in those ads - he's a pro in real-life, often called the David Beckham of the sport.

However, the heart throb from Buenos Aires is trying to overcome a class barrier associated with polo. Called "the sport of kings," polo is linked in many people's minds with the upper class. However, Figueras is trying to make it more mainstream in the United States.

Figueras is the co-host of the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, returning for a fifth year on Saturday, June 2, to Liberty State Park in New York. The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic is open to the public.
