Move over Leno. Here comes Julian Assange
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is about to hit the airwaves as a talk show host.
WikiLeaks announced that the half hour show, slated to begin in March, would focus on in-depth conversations between Assange and "key political players, thinkers, and revolutionaries from around the world" all focusing on the theme of "the world tomorrow."
"Through this series I will explore the possibilities for our future in conversations with those who are shaping it," Assange said in a statement. "Are we heading towards utopia, or dystopia and how we can set our paths? This is an exciting opportunity to discuss the vision of my guests in a new style of show that examines their philosophies and struggles in a deeper and clearer way than has been done before."
The show will run "across cable, satellite and terrestrial broadcast networks," according to Wikileaks, which did not get more specific. Also, no word yet on which guest - or guests - will be on hand to kick off the proposed 10 show series. Perhaps someone might leak those tidbits in coming days or weeks?
