Most Expensive Holiday Gifts: Victoria's Secret Bombshell Fantasy Bra

Victoria's Secret has trotted out a new jewel-encrusted brassiere every year since 1996 to boffo media attention. The formerly staid Wall Street Journal even posted video of model Adriana Lima preening in this year's edition, which includes 3,000 diamonds, sapphires and topazes. But none has ever sold. "There was one bra — I believe the one Tyra Banks wore — someone offered to buy the large center stone from the jeweler, but not the bra from Victoria's Secret," says a spokeswoman from the lingerie chain. That particular exemplar of underwire extravagance was a pre-recession version, priced at $10 million; the center stone was a flawless 70-carat diamond known as the Excelsior.
