More Powerful Credit Card Sized Organizer
The coolest little electronic organizer gets even better. It's literally the size of a credit card and not much thicker. The original Rex from Franklin Electronic Publishers and Starfish Software was introduced about a year ago. It has an LCD screen and menu buttons and you enter phone numbers and appointments through your computer. The Rex slides into a PC card slot on a notebook or you can use a desktop docking device. It was great, but the biggest problem was if you were away from your computer....you couldn't change the information in the Rex until you got back. Now comes the Rex Pro, the next generation, and Franklin Electronic's Len Abbazia says they've listened to customers...
"It still stays the size of a credit card with an LCD screen and now we've added three key things. We've added the ability to enter and edit data directly on the device. We've doubled the memory size, so now it goes from 256k to 512k and third, we've added direct synchronization. So now, if you're a user of Microsoft Outlook, Schedule +, ACT, Lotus Organizer or Sidekick, you can synchronize directly with that PIM."
The ability to enter data directly makes it a lot more usable. It is by far, the easiest electronic organizer to carry around. The price, about 230 dollars including the docking station. You can find more information at franklin.com/rex
