(CBS/KCBS/AP) Former USC quarterback Mitch Mustain is in custody Wednesday after being arrested for allegedly selling prescription drugs.

Mustain, 22, was arrested at about 8 p.m. Tuesday in the San Fernando Valley by LAPD West Valley Station detectives.

He was booked for a felony and was released after posting $30,000 bail, according to CBS affiliate KCBS.

Mustain became a backup quarterback for the Trojans after transferring to USC from Arkansas in 2007. He started in last season's game against Notre Dame when Matt Barkley was injured.

Mustain is currently preparing for the NFL draft.
