CBS News Business and Economics Correspondent Rebecca Jarvis offered tips Friday on locating funds you may not even realize you lost, or are entitled to.

Call it found money. Or money from heaven. By any name - if it's yours, why not learn its whereabouts and claim it?

Of course, you need to know where to look and how to look there - and no, not behind the couch!

Jarvis spelled it all out, also offering words of caution: Never pay a stranger to help you collect unclaimed funds or other property rightfully due you. and don't give out personal financial information (credit card numbers,, bank account numbers, Social Security numbers) to anyone offering to help you collect unclaimed assets.
