Miley Cyrus to headline Hilarity for Charity 2015
Miley Cyrus is having a busy year. The MTV VMAs host just landed another gig -- and no, we don't mean as an Australian reporter.
Cyrus has signed on to headline Hilarity for Charity's Fourth Annual Variety Show: James Franco's Bar Mitzvah, reports Entertainment Weekly.
Hilarity for Charity is an initiative by Seth Rogen and wife Lauren Miller Rogen to raise awareness for Alzheimer's. The organization throws an annual star-studded event to raise money for research and families of patients, and this year, on Oct. 17 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Cyrus will take the stage and perform. The theme of the show is "James Franco's Bar Mitzvah" -- we assume the actor will be present.
This isn't the only collaboration between Cyrus and Rogen. The pop star will appear in Rogen's upcoming movie "The Night Before" and Rogen helped Cyrus produce pre-taped pieces for this Sunday's VMAs.
Hilarity for Charity has brought some of the entertainment industry's biggest names on stage, like Bruno Mars and Aziz Ansari.
The event hits close to home for Rogen and his wife; Lauren's mother was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's at 55.
