Miley Cyrus' parents to divorce

Singer Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife, Tish, are divorcing after 19 years of marriage.

"This is a personal matter and we are doing what is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time," a rep for the pair told ET Thursday when news of Tish's divorce filing became public.

Perhaps in response to the split, daughter Miley sent the following message to her father via Twitter: "@billyraycyrus since your text and email obviously aren't working would you like to talk like this?"

Billy Ray and Tish filed for divorce previously in 2010, but reconciled months later.

"As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family," the couple told ET at the time of the filing. "We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers."
