"Mildred Pierce": Evan Rachel Wood gets nude scene coaching from Kate Winslet

(CBS) When shooting your first on-screen nude scene, it helps if you can benefit from the wisdom of a co-star's experience. And Kate Winslet has plenty of experience.

E! Online reports that at the New York premiere of HBO's miniseries "Mildred Pierce," co-star Evan Rachel Wood described the help she got from Winslet, who plays her mother.

"She coached me through my first nude scene," Wood told E!

Winslet said she and Wood talked about several things: The nudity was necessary for the story; don't let in many onlookers during the shoot (not including Winslet, whom Wood says gave her a thumbs-up while standing next to the camera); and keep a robe handy for "the right moment."

"Mildred Pierce" airs beginning Sunday, March 27, on HBO.
