Michael Douglas, Matt Damon announced as Emmy presenters

In addition to being nominees, Matt Damon and Michael Douglaswill also serve as presenters at the 2013 Emmy Awards.

The "Behind the Candelabra" actors were the first stars announced to present at the upcoming awards show. The announcement was made in a press release from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on Tuesday.

Both Damon and Douglas are nominated this year in the outstanding lead actor in a miniseries or movie category for their work on the HBO biopic about Liberace(Douglas) and his lover, Scott Thorson (Damon).

This will mark the first time either Damon or Douglas has presented at the awards show. The two stars have each received five nominations over the years, but neither has managed (at least yet) to take home an Emmy.

Hosted byNeil Patrick Harris, the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards airs Sept. 22 at 8 pm ET on CBS.
