Meg Ryan to narrate "How I Met Your Dad"
CBS' new sitcom pilot "How I Met Your Dad" has added some star power.
Actress Meg Ryan, 52, has joined the cast as the narrator, voicing the older version of Greta Gerwig's character in the "How I Met Your Mother" spinoff. Ryan won't be seen in the pilot, but her voice will be heard as the "Future Sally."
In "How I Met Your Mother," which ended its nine-season run this year, Bob Saget voiced the role of Josh Radnor's "Future Ted."
Similar to "How I Met Your Mother," the upcoming series -- if picked up -- will follow Sally as she navigates dating and life, all leading her to the man she will eventually marry.
Gerwig is expected to help produce and write the series, along with "How I Met Your Mother" creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas.
