Martin Lawrence Weds Longtime Girlfriend Shamicka Gibbs

NEW YORK (CBS) Actor Martin Lawrence married his longtime girlfriend, Shamicka Gibbs, in a ceremony at his home in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Saturday.

The two exchanged Christian vows in an intimate ceremony in the backyard in front of 120 guests, including Denzel Washington and Eddie Murphy, according to People magazine.

Their daughters Amara, 9, and Iyana, 7, and Lawrence's daughter Jasmine, 14, from a previous marriage, were flower girls.

According to the report, the couple joined their guests under a tent for a reception after the ceremony. Event designer Diann Valentine arranged for two long tables in the shape of an "X" for all the guests to sit together for the family-style celebration.

People's report states that the newlyweds and guests enjoyed a four-course, sit-down dinner catered by Tres LA, which included salad, crab cakes and salmon. The four-tiered wedding cake was by Rosebud Cakes in Beverly Hills.

"They wanted an intimate celebration," a source told the magazine. "This wedding was all about family."
