NEW YORK (CBS) Mark Burnett is set to produce a talk show for Oprah Winfrey's brand new network.

The British TV producer, known for popularizing competition-based reality shows in the U.S., reportedly signed a deal to create a show for the Oprah Winfrey Network in 2011 in the vein of the ABC hit "The View."

According to New York Post, the deal was inked by Burnett just last week. The original series on the talk show queen's namesake network will feature multiple hosts and will be aired in a daytime slot. Burnett has yet to comment on the signing but also is producing "Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star" on OWN.

As for Winfrey, she is ending her "own" talk show after a  25-year run in September of 2011 to begin duties on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Burnett has produced a wide variety of shows including "Survivor," "The Apprentice," and "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?"

The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) begins to show its programs on Jan. 1, 2011, and will replace Discovery Health.
