Marc Anthony Hospitalized, Released
Latin singer Marc Anthony was hospitalized Saturday night for treatment of a possible adverse reaction to medication he was taking for a sore throat, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Anthony, 31, was released Sunday.
His publicist told CBS Station KMOV-TV he had had an adverse reaction to a medication he had taken on an empty stomach.
Anthony had been scheduled to perform at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis. The concert was canceled.
His first salsa album was released in 1993. His third album won a 1999 Grammy for best tropical latin performance. This year he was nominated for best male pop vocal performance for I Need to Know, but did not win.
