"Man of Steel" sequel soars into production
Although it hasn't even come out yet, a sequel to "Man of Steel" is already in the works.
Warner Bros. Pictures is racing faster than a speeding bullet to produce the next installment in the newly-rebooted Superman franchise, with Zach Snyder and David S. Goyer returning as director and screenwriter, Deadline reports.
It's unclear how much involvement "The Dark Knight Rises" director Christopher Nolan, who served as a producer and story co-writer on "Man of Steel," will have in the next Superman installment as he's busy working on another project called "Interstellar."
In addition to the sequel, there's been talk that Goyer will pen a script for a "Justice League" film. In the comics, Superman serves as the leader of the crime-fighting organization.
"Man of Steel" opens in theaters on Friday.
