Man accused in "my wife is a cheater" vandalism case pleads guilty

ARVADA, Colo. - A Colorado man accused of spray-painting "my wife is a cheater" on his estranged wife's home and setting it on fire has pleaded guilty and was sentenced to probation, reports CBS Denver.

Thirty-one-year-old William Lindauer pleaded guilty Monday to charges of arson, stalking and reckless endangerment in connection with the March incident.

He was sentenced to five years' probation and four years in a county jail work release program.

Lindauer reportedly told police he was drunk when he vandalized his estranged wife's Arvada home and was angry about another man liking her Facebook posts.

No one was injured in the blaze, however officials said at the time that the damage to the home was "very significant."
