Macaulay Culkin's rep denies heroin addiction claim
(CBS News) Macaulay Culkin's rep slammed a report Wednesday that claims the actor is addicted to heroin and prescription drugs.
The rep called the National Enquirer story "impossibly and ridiculously fictitious."
"The report in the National Enquirer that Macaulay Culkin is addicted to heroin and assorted hallucinogenics is not only categorically without merit, but it is also impossibly and ridiculously fictitious," Culkin's rep told E! News on Wednesday.
He continued, "We beseech the responsible media to consider the source and its reputation and to please not perpetuate this destructive and insulting story by pursuing it any further."
The National Enquirer report claims that Culkin is addicted to heroin and has only has six months to live. The tabloid also says he spends $6,000 a month on drugs and went on a downward spiral after his split from actress Mila Kunis.
Earlier this year, Culkin's rep said the 31-year-old is in "perfectly good health" after photos surfaced showing the actor looking thin. This sparked speculation about his heath and well-being.
