Luka Rocco Magnotta, Canadian porn star and suspect in dismember slay, captured in Berlin, official says

(CBS/AP) BERLIN - A Canadian official says that porn actor Luka Rocco Magnotta, accused of videotaping a murder and mailing body parts to the country's top political parties, has been arrested in Berlin.

The official confirmed that Magnotta was apprehended Monday. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to announce it.

Germany's Bild newspaper reported police sources confirming Magnotta was apprehended Monday at an internet cafe in the city's Neukoelln district.

Berlin prosecutors' spokesman Martin Steltner told The Associated Press a man wanted on an international arrest warrant was arrested in an internet cafe but he could not confirm his identity pending further checks.

A Berlin police spokeswoman declined to comment.

Magnotta is wanted by Canadian authorities on first-degree murder and other charges. He is suspected of killing Jun Lin - a 33-year-old Chinese university student he dated - and mailing the victim's dismembered body parts to Canadian political parties.
