Ludacris tapped to host 2014 Billboard Music Awards
Ludacris is set to play master of ceremonies at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.
The 36-year-old rapper-actor will host the upcoming awards show in Las Vegas, Dick Clark Productions announced Wednesday.
Performers this year include 5 Seconds of Summer, Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Jason Derulo, John Legend, Jennifer Lopez, Lorde, Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, OneRepublic, Pitbull and Ricky Martin.
Lorde and Imagine Dragons are the top contenders, competing in 12 categories. Imagine Dragons will battle Cyrus, Perry, Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake, who is nominated for 11 awards, for top artist.
Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" will compete against efforts from Beyonce, Eminem, Drake and Luke Bryan for top Billboard 200 album.
The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will air Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
