Lost ducklings rescued by local news reporter
(CBS/WISH) A local news reporter came to the rescue of 11 ducklings stuck inside a storm drain in Indianapolis, Ind., on Sunday.
WISH's Daniel Miller climbed down into the murky drain with only a blue glove and a tote bag.
Miller said the initial scoop took less than 20 seconds, but then one of the ducklings ran away.
After a little reluctance and a quick break, Miller braved the sewer once again until the last duckling was retrieved.
The ducklings' mother was nearby quacking and, although the reunion was "uneventful," according to Miller, the rescue - which happened on Mother's Day - makes for a cute and timely video.
