Lorenzen Wright murder: Memphis police director asks for public's help
(CBS/AP) MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Nearly a year after the fatal shooting of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright, the Memphis police director says there's a new lead detective in the investigation and he's asking for the public's help.

"It's hard for me to believe that there isn't somebody out there who knows something," Director Toney Armstrong said at a press conference Tuesday according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Armstrong said that police are a long way from finding Wright's killer or killers and said that the investigation has been switched to a different lead detective - or "case coordinator" - in order to get fresh eyes on the case.
"Still, with his popularity, the amount of media coverage and the hard work displayed by our homicide investigators, we are still a long way from solving this crime," Armstrong said.
The 34-year-old Wright had been missing for 10 days when his body was found last July 28. No arrests have been made in the year since the slaying.
Armstrong says Crime Stoppers has received just 28 tips.
He says he plans to ask city officials to raise the reward for information leading to an arrest from $6,000.
