Look out, that's a giraffe on your tail!

(CBS News) Giraffes are cute. Giraffes are elegant. Giraffes are tall. You know what else giraffes can be? Really fricking scary! (They are apparently fast too!) Just ask the people on safari in the jeep being chased by a very determined giraffe in this nail-biting video above.

This long-necked fellow is galloping after this truck like his life depends on it. (Or possibly the lives of the people in the jeep depends on it is a bit more apt.) For a little more explanation on what exactly is going on here, the poster of this video, Henk Roos, writes about the surreal chase:

After an amazing wedding we went on a game drive and a hormonal Giraffe started to chase our jeep. After about 5km of being chased I started recording the chase on my phone. You can see how he gets closer and closer after every turn. We started to run out of road and the ranger banged on the side of the jeep to scare him off. We started to make a noise and he stopped. Just in time as we had to make a 4 point turn to continue on the road!

You can bet we'd be screaming and banging our heads off too! And that's exactly what the riders in this jeep do (except for Roos, who seems to be getting a chuckle out of the whole ordeal), the closer the giraffe gets, the louder the riders in the jeep scream, and yell (and possibly curse) in another language -- German perhaps? South African? Dutch? -- who knows, panic is definitely an international language. And while I thought giraffes were generally docile animals, this one seems to be pretty worked up about something, maybe he saw "The Hangover Part III" and didn't find it all that amusing. (Don't worry about it, big guy, because we didn't either!)
