Listen: What do you think of the new Chet Haze song?

(CBS) Tom Hanks' rapper son, Chet Hanks (who calls himself Chet Haze) has a new song out. And you can listen to it below. YOU'RE WELCOME, AMERICA.

On his Facebook page, Chet writes, "I'm serious! Please tell me what you think of my new track!"

I'm serious: It's terrible. But there are other opinions out there.

One guy calling himself Chad Cheddar-Whizzy Budnack writes on Facebook, "you got some talent dogg dont let no one tell you different keep it up and youll be on top one day [sic]."

Dave Imboden writes, "Since you asked nicely, I think it's really pretty awful."

Yet another person wants Chet to turn up the bass. (Read the Facebook comments here.)

One thing to remember when commenting: Tom Hanks had a penchant for making weak movies before he became the successful movie star he is today. For every "Splash," "Big" and "Saving Private Ryan," there's a "Volunteers," "The Man with One Red Shoe" or "Punchline." So maybe cut the kid a break so early in his music career. (Or don't. Who are we to tell you what to do?)

What do you think? Let us know.
