(CBS) - Sounds like Lindsay Lohan had a rough weekend. The starlet reportedly had her $5,000 Chanel purse snatched Saturday night in Hawaii, only for it to be returned missing nearly $10,000 in cash.

According to TMZ, Lohan left the purse in her car while at a house party in Hawaii. The purse was reportedly returned by a local the next day still containing the actress' passport and probation documents.

TMZ reports Lohan, worried about getting stuck in Hawaii and missing her court date Wednesday in L.A., was so relieved at the return of the documents she didn't ask questions of the person who returned it and overlooked the missing money.

After a string of legal problems, the actress appears to finally be taking her probation seriously.

Lohan, who recently got into trouble for missing scheduled community service appointments, has been putting in her court-ordered hours of service at the L.A. County coroner's office and is now actually ahead of schedule, the LA Times reports.

Last month, a judge ordered Lohan to serve 30 days in jail for violating probation after she was ousted from her community service at a women's shelter. Due to over crowding, she was reportedly out within hours.
