Likely parachute malfunction kills California skydiver
LODI, Calif. -- The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the death of a skydiver near the Lodi Airport.
According to San Joaquin Sheriff's Deputies, a parachute malfunction likely caused the skydiver to crash against a wall.
Officials say the skydiver hit a cinder block and fell into a drainage ditch.
So far, the identity of the skydiver has not been released.
This isn't the first fatal accident at the Skydive Lodi Parachute Center. In 2012, a veteran skydiver lost control and fell to his death in a nearby vineyard.
