Forbes looks at earnings between May 2010 and May 2011 to compile the list.
DiCaprio displaced last year's top-earning actor, Johnny Depp, who came in second place this year with an estimated $50 million.
In third place was Adam Sandler, who raked in $40 million, according to Forbes, and Will Smith took the fourth-place slot with an estimated $36 million. Tom Hanks came in fifth place, earning $35 million.
Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Wahlberg, Tim Allen and Tom Cruise rounded out the top 10.
The list shows a hefty wage gap in Hollywood - when Forbes released its list of the highest-paid actresses last month, Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker tied for the top spot. Each earned an estimated $30 million between May 2010 and May 2011.
