Lauren Spierer Update: Lawsuit against 3 men last seen with missing Indiana University student goes to federal court
(CBS) INDIANAPOLIS-- The parents of Lauren Spierer, the Indiana University student who went missing more than two years ago, have filed a lawsuit against the three men who were last seen with her, reported CBS affiliate WISHTV. The lawsuit was reportedly moved to federal court last week.
The station reports that Robert and Charlene Spierer, of Westchester, N.Y., first filed the suit in Monroe Circuit Court May 31 against Corey Rossman, Jason Rosenbaum and Michael Beth.
The suit alleged their actions caused the "disappearance, injury and death of Lauren Elizabeth Spierer."
According to the station, the Spierer's have not yet specified how much compensation they feel they're owed for the damages incurred by their daughter's 2011 disappearance.
