Larry King: Who Will Replace Him?

NEW YORK (CBS) Who will replace Larry King when he ends his 25-year run on CNN?

The longtime cable news show host has one specific person in mind.

King said last year that if it were up to him, "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest would be the best person to fill his shoes.

But Seacrest isn't the only name that has been mentioned.

"CBS Evening News" anchor Katie Couric has long been a contender to take over for King when he stepped down, but she reportedly told CNN last month that she is not interested in taking the job.

"America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan is also reportedly a top contender for the post.

Other names that have previously been mentioned include Eliot Spitzer (who CNN announced last week would host an 8 p.m. EDT show with columnist Kathleen Parker), Oprah Winfrey, Howard Stern and Matt Lauer.

King announced Tuesday night that he would be stepping down from his longtime gig in the fall.

"It's time to hang up my nightly suspenders," he wrote in a message sent to fans via Twitter.

Who do you think should get the job?
