Lady Gaga to perform at MTV Europe Music Awards
(CBS) Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have been confirmed to perform during the 2011 MTV European Music Video Awards, according to a press release.
The Nov. 6 event, which will take place in three different venues in Belfast, Northern Ireland, will air in the U.S. on Tr3s: MTV and Musica y Mas at 6 P.M. ET/PT and mtvU on Nov. 7 at 12 P.M. ET/PT. This is the first time the awards show will take place in three different locations in the host city.

The 2011 MTV EMAs, which will be hosted by singer and actress Selena Gomez, will also feature celebrity presenters Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWOWW" Farley from "Jersey Shore" and Ashley Rickards from MTV's "Awkward," the release added.
Gaga and Mars join previously announced acts Coldplay, Jessie J and LMFAO, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snow Patrol and Jason Derulo who will all be performing that night.
Gaga is will be celebrating her successful third release, "Born This Way," and has garnered six nominations. MTV.com reports that if she wins the "Biggest Fans" category, she'll share the award with her "Little Monsters" - Gaga's pet name for her fans.
Mars's debut album, "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" has gone multi-platinum. He tied for second most nods with Katy Perry; each of the artists have four nominations each. Third place goes to Adele, Justin Bieber and Thirty Seconds to Mars, who each have three chances to win.
Even if those in the U.S. can't get to Europe for the big night, it doesn't mean they can't participate. U.S. and Canadian residents can pick the North American nominee for the Worldwide Act award. The top candidate will represent North America during the MTV EMAs, against top vote getters from around the world.
