La Salle High School Shooting: Ohio student reportedly shoots himself in front of class

(CBS) - Police say an Ohio high school student shot himself in front of a classroom of fellow students on Monday morning.

Officers were called to La Salle High School, west of Cincinnati, around 9 a.m. According to CBS affiliate WKRC dispatchers said several students called 911 to report the shooting.

The "young man" was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, police say. His status is unknown. Police say all the other students are safe.

Students at the school are reportedly in the gymnasium and will be reunited with their parents and taken home if they wish.
