Kyron Horman Missing: Desiree Young, mother of Ore. boy, plans to make announcement Friday

(CBS/KOIN) PORTLAND, Ore. - Desiree Young, the mother of Kyron Horman, the 7-year-old Oregon boy who went missing from his elementary school in 2010, says she plans to make an announcement Friday afternoon. A news conference is scheduled Friday for Young and her Portland attorney Elden Rosenthal, in downtown Portland, reports CBS affiliate KOIN.

"As the two-year anniversary of Kyron's disappearance approaches, the press conference will announce and explain the filing of a lawsuit by Ms. Young," said Rosenthal in a statement received by KOIN.

Police never named a suspect in Kyron's disappearance, reports KPTV. According to the station, Young has repeatedly said she believes Terri Horman, the boy's stepmother, is responsible for Kyron's disappearance.
