Fans remember Kurt Cobain 22 years after his death
Tuesday marks the 22nd anniversary of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain taking his own life in his Seattle home, and fans are marking the occasion with tributes and remembrances.
The influential singer and songwriter, who helped define the grunge rock ear of the early '90s and shaped modern rock for decades to come, killed himself at his home near Viretta Park in Seattle's Denny-Blaine neighborhood. He was survived by wife Courtney Love and daughter Frances Bean Cobain, who is now 23.
Every year, fans leave flowers on a bench dedicated to Cobain.
