Kristen Stewart confirmed to be dating Alicia Cargile

Kristen Stewart kept a low profile since the end of a very public relationship with her "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson in 2013, but she is stepping back out into the light of day with a new boo, her personal assistant Alicia Cargile.

Stewart's mom, Jules Stewart confirmed to The Mirror that her daughter is now dating a woman, and that she's delighted for her.

"I've met Kristen's new girlfriend, and I like her," she said. "What's not to accept? She's a lovely girl."

Photos of the "Clouds of Sils Maria" star, 25, and Cargile sparked rumors in September, but the couple tried to keep their privacy, something Stewart found nearly impossible to do during her intensely scrutinized five-year relationship with Pattinson.

"I feel like people need to be free to love whoever they want. I accept my daughter loves women and men. It's O.K. to be who you are in my world. We all choose our friends so we should be free to choose our lovers," the actress' mother said.
