(CBS/AP) CHICAGO - Police say a 21-year-old Chicago woman fatally stabbed her 5-month-old son before wounding herself, in what police said was a murder-suicide attempt, according to CBS Chicago.
Kimberlynn Bolanos, from the Budlong Woods neighborhood on the city's North Side, was charged with one count of first-degree murder.
Police spokesman Michael Sullivan says the woman killed her son, Isaac, at a motel on Thursday and then stabbed herself.
She had wounds to her abdomen and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and was reportedly listed in critical condition.
