Kim Kardashian rents out the Staples Center for Kanye West's birthday
There's nothing like having an entire stadium to use for your birthday.
Kim Kardashian rented out the Staples Center in Los Angeles for her husband Kanye West's birthday on Monday so he could play his very own basketball game with some of his best buddies.
Apparently, the elaborate birthday plan (it was West's 38th birthday) was a big surprise.
Kardashian had personalized "West" jerseys made, brought in John Salley as the game's announcer and hired real NBA referees to oversee the game.
John Legend was even on hand to sing the national anthem. According to E! News, Justin Bieber, Tyga, Pusha T and Russell Westbrook were among the pals in attendance. And NBA stars, including Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant, recorded special video messages just for the occasion.
Kardashian also built him a basketball court in their backyard. Clearly, the rapper likes basketball. A lot.
Kimye definitely has this rent-a-venue thing down. West secured San Francisco's AT&T Stadium for his marriage proposal back in 2013.
We can only imagine what Kardashian will do for West's 40th birthday.
