Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom call off divorce
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have put the brakes on their divorce, asking a Los Angeles court to dismiss their divorce case as they want to stay together.
The news comes just a little over a week after Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. Kardashian rushed to the hospital in Las Vegas to be with the former NBA star and has been by his side ever since.
Kardashian, 31, and Odom, 35, married in 2009 after a month-long whirlwind romance. They split up in 2013, and although they both signed papers over the summer, the divorce hadn't been approved by a judge yet. Kardashian's lawyer, Laura Wasser, went before a judge Wednesday morning to withdraw the divorce papers. TMZ was the first to report the news.
On Tuesday, Kardashian broke her silence, posting a heartfelt update on her website about Odom in which she thanked fans for their support.
"This past week has been incredibly difficult. I am so thankful to family, friends and fans who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar," Kardashian wrote.
Odom is now in Los Angeles receiving further treatment after being found in critical condition on Oct. 13 at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada. He regained consciousness and communicated for the first time on Friday.
