Kevin Rodriguez Missing: LA police search for 9-year-old boy

(CBS/KCBS/AP) LOS ANGELES - Los Angeles police are asking for the public's help in the search for missing 9-year-old boy Kevin Rodriguez, who reportedly ran away without shoes on after an argument with his family.

Kevin was last seen at 7 p.m. Saturday night when he ran away from his South Los Angeles home after getting into an argument with his stepmother, reports CBS station KCBS.

The boy, who is reportedly from El Salvador, has only been in the United States for a month and speaks only Spanish. Police are calling the boy critically missing.

Rodriguez is 4-foot-5-inches tall with black hair, brown eyes and a heavy build and a heavy build, and was wearing a blue shirt, red pants and no shoes when he ran away.
