Kevin and Danielle Jonas dish on Valentine's Day plans, touring and "Married to Jonas"
Reality star couple Kevin and Danielle Jonas have a plan for this Valentine's Day -- and fans will likely get a glimpse into the lovebirds' romantic holiday.
Kevin has a surprise or two planned for his sweetheart, hinting that some of it will be filmed for the second season of the couple's E! series, "Married to Jonas," set to premiere in April.
"This Valentine's Day we got a lot planned. We're working on the second season of our TV show, so I'm sure there will be something there," Kevin told CBSNews.com. "I don't want to give too much away but one of the traditions we do is definitely write each other a letter. We always do it."
It's a tradition that has been part of their lives since Kevin and Danielle first started dating in 2007.
"It was something that we have been doing ever since we started dating early on. We kept the traditional alive, which is very cool...It is unique and a good way to express the way you feel and show the person you care and it's the little bit of extra effort," Kevin said.
Their love for mailing hand-written letters is the reason Kevin and Danielle decided to get involved in the U.S. Postal Service's Seal With Love campaign.
"It's easy to send a text. It's easy to send an email, but there's something to sending a hand-written letter that's just a little bit extra," Kevin said.
Danielle recalls a very special note Kevin gave her in 2009, right before they exchanged vows in Huntington, N.Y.
"There was a letter the day of the wedding," Danielle said. "I still have that next to my bed and when he's gone, I'll still read it. And that's what's good about getting mail. You can save it look back on it. It's sweet that way."
And as Kevin gets ready to go out on tour with the Jonas Brothers, he expects to get a few letters along the way.
"I remember of good it felt to receive mail from Danielle everywhere I was going on tour," he said.
When asked how they keep their relationship fresh, Danielle said it boils down to "surprises," adding," "Just going up to him and hugging him or just to say 'I love you.'"
