Kayne West to play MTV Video Music Awards
Kanye West is the latest act to be added to the slowly growing list of performers for this year's MTV Video Music Awards.
The rapper and new dad will perform his single "Black Skinhead" at the awards show, set for Aug. 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. This marks West's seventh visit to the VMAs, which means he will also tie Madonna for the most performances at the annual awards ceremony.
The only other performer who has been confirmed so far to play the VMAs is Lady Gaga, who will release her new "ARTPOP" album this fall.
Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis top this year's VMAs with six nominations each, while Bruno Mars is not far behind with four nods. Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Pink and Thirty Seconds to Mars are each in the running for three awards.
