"Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family," the singer posted to Twitter on Saturday.

Brand filed for divorce 14 months after the couple's seemingly "storybook" marriage. Before the split was official, the internet was abuzz with rumors about possible trouble for the couple after they were seen without their wedding rings.

The 27-year-old pop star didn't just address her fans about the rumors, she also thanked them for their support and encouragement.

"I am so grateful for all the love and support I've had from people around the world," tweeted Perry. "You guys have made my heart happy again."

The couple was married in October 2010 at a resort inside a tiger reserve in India.
