Kathy Bates checks in for "American Horror Story: Hotel"

Kathy Bates is returning for another reservation on "American Horror Story."

The "AHS" veteran will be back for the FX horror anthology's fifth installment, "American Horror Story: Hotel," series creator Ryan Murphy revealed Wednesday.

Murphy broke the news on Twitter, sharing a tidbit about the role Bates will be playing:

"Hotel" will also star Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson -- but not Jessica Lange, who recently confirmed she won't be returning for the series' fifth season.

This will be Bates' third turn on "American Horror Story," following roles in "American Horror Story: Coven" and this year's "American Horror Story: Freak Show."
