Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, back at work after morning sickness

The Duchess of Cambridge has resumed her royal duties after spending more than two months out of the public eye while suffering from acute morning sickness in her second pregnancy.

Kate (wearing a gray Alexander McQueen coat and matching Jane Taylor hat) and her husband, Prince William, welcomed the president of Singapore to London at the start of a state visit Tuesday.

"I've been looking forward to getting out of the house, that's for sure," she said while greeting President Tony Tan and his wife, Mary, at the Royal Garden Hotel.

Kate, 32, is 12 weeks pregnant and has been receiving treatment for severe morning sickness, which also plagued her first pregnancy. She and William will welcome their baby No. 2 -- a little brother or sister for Prince George -- in April.

She plans to attend the Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards gala Tuesday night at the National History Museum.

Tan was also being welcomed by Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip.
