Kanye West Sued for Alleged Attack on Photographer at NYC Party

NEW YORK (CBS) Rapper Kanye West is reportedly being sued by a New York photographer who claims he was attacked by the singer and his entourage at a 2008 New York City party.

According to court documents obtained by the New York Daily News, Michael Vazquez was invited to shoot an event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Casio G-Shock wristwatch in May 2008.

In the documents, Vazquez claims he was "assaulted, battered, beat and threatened" by West and up to 10 security guards.

"The actions by defendants Kanye West's agents, servants and/or employees was committed with malice," the lawsuit reads according to the newspaper.

West was reportedly paid a hefty $1 million for his live performance at the Casio event.

Vazquez is demanding unspecified damages for the alleged assault.
