Kaley Cuoco to host 2013 People's Choice Awards
Kaley Cuoco will return as host of the People's Choice Awards.
"The Big Bang Theory" star has been tapped to emcee the upcoming awards show for the second consecutive year. The ceremony, set to take place on Jan. 9, will be broadcast live at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
"It's an honor to return as host of the 2013 People's Choice Awards and kick off awards season with one of the most fun events of the year," Cuoco said in a statement.
Mark Burnett, People's Choice Awards executive producer, said he's thrilled Cuoco is returning. "She is such an engaging performer who brings an undeniable energy and passion to our stage," he said.
Cuoco can currently be seen portraying Penny on CBS' "The Big Bang Theory." This year, she appeared alongside Rob Lowe in the Lifetime movie, "Untouchable: The Drew Peterson Story," and will also be seen in the upcoming indie comedy, "Scribble."
