Justin Bieber on Roast: "Some of the things they said stung"
Justin Bieber will be on the receiving end of plenty of jokes Monday night when Comedy Central airs its Roast special beginning at 10 p.m. ET.
Hosted by Kevin Hart, the "Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber," which taped earlier this month, features a batch of stars lobbing insults at the Canadian pop singer, including Snoop Dogg, Shaquille O'Neal, Martha Stewart and Ludacris.
"I'm human, so some of the things they said stung a little, but I took it on the chin, owned up to some of the funny, dumb things that have happened," the 21-year-old singer told USA Today. "But some of the stuff isn't true, like the drag racing thing [in Miami], they showed that my speedometer said I was never speeding."
Still, Bieber says, the exeprience overall "was really good" and "very funny."
His favorite part? Seeing Will Ferrell step out as his Ron Burgundy character.
Meanwhile, a couple of jokes have already been removed from the special. In between some of the chuckles were jabs at Bieber's driving habits in relation to Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in 2013.
Earlier this month, Comedy Central has released a statement saying it would be removing the Walker jokes from the premiere: "Roasts often push the limits of good taste and we give the participants full rein to try things knowing we have the edit to shape the show. Sometimes the line is discovered by crossing it. The Paul Walker references will not be in the telecast."
Bieber also apologizes for his behavior during the taping.
"I turned a lot of people off over the past few years, but I know I can still turn out good music and turn everything all around," said Bieber, whose been making headlines for his offstage antics, which include getting arrested and throwing eggs at a neighbor's home.
