Justin Bieber cuts his hair

(CBS) - Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber has cut his signature moptop, opting for a more "mature" look.

"Yeah so it's true...i got a lil haircut...i like it...and we are giving all the hair cut to CHARITY to auction. Details coming soon," the 16-year-old wrote on his Twitter feed.

Bieber showed off his new cut, which was done by his hairdresser Vanessa Price, on TMZ live Monday.

He explained to the gossip site that he "wanted to change it up" and aimed for a "kind of a mature look."

"It's been three years, and my hair was always getting in my eyes, and it was time for a change," he said.
