After the 18-year-old pop star congratulated Canadian gymnast Dominique Pegg, he tweeted about swimmer Missy Franklin, who scored a gold medal this week in the 100-meter backstroke. The 17-year-old Olympic champ is apparently a Bieber fan.

Franklin then retweeted Bieber's message, adding, "I just died! Thank you!"

Bieber also sent congratulations to the U.S. women's gymnastics team after they won Olympic gold on Tuesday.
